‘Final Destination 5’ Has a Writer

Eric Heisserer, who wrote Universal’s upcoming The Thing prequel, is attached to pen New Line/Warner Bros.’ next installment in the Final Destination series.

Heat Vision reports that “the plot for the latest installment is being kept under wraps, though one scene involves a character undergoing laser-eye surgery.”

No director is attached to the project yet, which will be shot in 3D for a 2011 release.

Heisserer also wrote the greenlight draft for the upcoming A Nightmare on Elm Street remake.
